I love weddings because I love watching two people in love vow to share that love for the rest of their lives.
BUT I also love a beautiful wedding bouquet! I think they add a personal touch to any ceremony and help add a pop of color to a {traditionally} white or ivory dress & black suit or tux.
This sunflower bouquet added a burst of color to a gorgeous fall wedding that I had the opportunity to second shoot at with Portraits by Jen Mertz. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony with a barn reception all taking place at the Barn at Greenwood. The yellow, red and white complimented the Bride’s off-white lace gown and added a pop of color to the wood barn. And the groom wore a coordinating red vest and tie that helped highlight the red in the bouquet.
Really, I just love flowers and will find any excuse to have them around. But I do honestly think they can add a wonderful layer of color and texture to any wedding or elopement (and a flower crown never hurts at a portrait session!).
